Deja Vu Isla Vista, CA

SBmenus.com Review - Deja Vu Isla Vista, CA - By Angela Vuona
---
This is my very first Blog post… so it here goes! My boss told me I could go anywhere in IV, get free food, take some pics, and write about my experience. So what did I do? Grab my boyfriend and head to Déjà Vu for some burgers and wings. I am a junior and my first time having Déjà Vu was only a couple weeks ago! Since I go through my phases of favorite places, I would definitely have to say Déjà Vu is now at the top of my list. To me it’s not even about the food, it’s the atmosphere… pool table, arcade games, computer touch screen games (my favorite)… It reminds me of being home at the local pizza joint back in my old AYSO soccer days. The walls are covered with pictures from over the years. They are actually pretty funny… seems like a lot of people have enjoyed this place just I like do. So, after spending a dollar on playing ‘Photo Hunt’ and ‘Word Whomp’ on the computer touch screen, our food was ready. I couldn’t wait to sit down and bite into my delicious cheeseburger… no pickles, ketchup, or mayo of course. I have been there 5 times in the past couple weeks and have not been able to order anything else… The burger is too good to resist! My boyfriend, a typical guy (very plain eater), is always pleased with his meal if someone is willing to provide not 1 but 2 ranch dressings on the side for free! All in all, the meal and ATMOSPHERE is great. It’s a place I want to go to at least once a week, just like Gios, my other favorite :) I feel like I could spend hours in this place. Me + good food + beer + ARCADE games = count me in! If Déjà Vu is a wonder to you, like it was to me, I definitely recommend checking it out. For those who have had the pleasure of spending time in this fun filled environment, perhaps consider this place to add to your list of ‘regulars’. For all the beer pong skills we have acquired, snappa dice tosses we have made, and ultimately soaking up the rays as Spring Quarter approaches us… a well-deserved burger is at your fingertips. Not a burger person? No worries... Déjà Vu has plenty to offer: wraps, sandwiches, wings, salads, chicken dishes, and much more! Also, for happy hour lovers, pitchers are around $8.50, not too bad but not the best, either way it’s beer and it’s good! As I wrap this up, I think I got my first blogging jitters out of the way and hopefully you guys enjoyed the read. Also, check out the photos I took earlier today so you can see for yourself all the fun that awaits…seriously, the secret is the computer touch screen games. Who needs food? I will just go for the games. See you there :)
